Mark Cuban calls Bill O’Reilly a moron at BlogWorld

November 9th, 2007 Urban Conservative

The closing keynote speaker at BlogWorld was Mark Cuban. He was speaking to the audience about his blog; and how important it is to share ideas, thoughts, etc. with his readers. He then went on a rant about how others in the media attack him and call him names; and then went to say how important it is not to respond. He then called Mr. Bill O’Reilly a Moron for his comments about Cuban, who financially backed the controversial film “Redacted” which is story about the war in Iraq that depicts the real-life rape and killing of a 14-year-old Iraqi girl by U.S. soldiers. And of course…the crowd erupted in applause.

MARK CUBAN IS NOTHING MORE THAN A SPOILED BRAT WHO GOT LUCKEY IN THE INTERNET CRAZE OF THE LATE 90S. HE SHOULD RESPECT THE MILITARY THAT PROTECTS HIM, AND LETS HIM SLEEP COMPFORTABLY IN HIS MANSION IN DALLAS.

Actually, what he said -- as I recall (since I was also there) -- was that that was his first impulse, but he decided against it, since what you blog is there forever.

In fact, he pointed out that "Bill O'Reilly is my new best friend" seeing as how his small film, Redacted, will now be much larger due to O'Reilly's silly rants. More details here: http://www.bradblog.com/?p=5276

Cuban sure speaks his mind and is not afraid to share. That is a good thing in the blogosphere. Although he is a but too in-your-face for me. (He is so rude at basketball games)

Mark Cuban is an idiot, but so is Bill O'Reilly. Both are pompous asshalfs who got lucky in their respective "genre." Both are brash, big talkers. But that's all they've got when it comes to intellect.

In a bar fight, though, I'd pick Cuban. He's got bigger dudes to back him up.

As for the folks who say he's anti-military, what's your basis? He made a movie, which I haven't seen nor do I have any inclination to see it; are you suggesting that the event(s) depicted in the film are not true?

If telling the truth is anti-military, then I guess I have to be on the anti-military side too. But that's not really fair, now is it?

Who cares what Mark Cuban has to say anyway? I wouldn't listen much to a guy who's team was on the losing end of the worst upset in basketball history (maybe in sports history!).

Cuban's a jerk. As a Cubs fan, I don't care how much money he has, I hope to God they don't sell the Cubs to him.

I missed Cuban's speech, and I met him outside. I spoke to him for a couple minutes, and he also mentioned Bill O'Reilly in that convo.

It's a shame, because from a basketball standpoint I like the guy, but politically, he kept insisting he was not on the left.

Anyway, Happy Thanksgiving My Friend.

Bill O'Reilley...It really is strange the level of yellow journalism and unprofessionalism FOX news has stooped to. But now that Rupert Murdoch has taken over the Wall Street Journal...Bill O'Reilley won't look as bad in comparison.
