Extreme Islam: A platform for injustice, abuse and murder

December 14th, 2007 Urban Conservative

Warning: Very disturbing and graphic images below. Proceed with caution.

Hopefully you are up to date with what is going on this world. If you are, I am sure you heard the news about the British teacher Gillian Gibbons, who was arrested and sentenced to 15 days in jail for allowing her class to name their teddy bear Mohamed.  The good news is that the she was pardoned and then released from jail early after two British Muslim politicians from the House of Lords met with Sudanese President Omar al-Bashir early Monday to plead for her freedom.

While incarcerated, several thousand Muslim protesters holding knives, sticks and other weapons demanded that she be put to death; all because of a little bitty teddy bear.

I am glad that there are some in the Muslim community that are condemning this EXTREME ISLAMIC behavior amongst other Muslims.

But wait!! There is more…

This story didn’t get a lot of press. It’s about a 19-year-old Saudi woman from the eastern province town of Qatif; who was sentenced to 90 lashes after SHE was GANG RAPED by seven Muslim men. She was convicted of being in the company of men who were not her relatives which of course is forbidden under Saudi Law.  Then she received a harsher sentence on appeal of six months in prison and 200 lashes. This week, the Justice Ministry claimed that the increased sentence was not due to her media pressure but the fact that she was caught having an “adulterous affair”. WTF?

Rape = adulterous affair?

I am not sure what is worse - the fact that she was raped, or that she is being punished for it. Glad to hear that the victims lawyer; and Saudi human rights advocate Abdul Rahman al-Lahem, is planning to lodge a defamation suit against the Justice Ministry. Not sure how much that will help; I mean the law is the law, right? And, there is no ACLU in  Qatif to defend this poor woman. She’s will still suffer the same fate as this man who was lashed over 90 times.

And, we cant forget about 16-year-old Aqsa Parvez; who was murdered by her own father because she refused to wear a hijab; which is the traditional Islamic head scarf for women.

Beheading of Christians

Yes, it still happens today but the left is too busy criticizing what they refer to as “religious right-wing extremists” and how out of touch guys like Pat Robertson are with the rest of civilization; and even comparing him to an evil dictator.   Although this is an older case, just a few days ago in Jakarta; three Muslim extremists were convicted and sentenced to only 19 years in prison for decapitating three young Christian girls in Indonesia. These little girls were on their way home from school; and were only 16 years old.

This my friends is EXREME ISLAM!

This poor girl survived the attack.

And to think that there are some who call me and this blog Extreme because I am pro-life, a traditionalist, a conservative and a Christian!  WTF is up with that?

The point of this post is not to condemn Islam because I do know several Muslims who condemn this extreme and radical behavior.  I am trying to make a point that what you see on this blog (and others like mine) is not extreme at allIn fact, you have no idea what EXTREME really is!

  1. Christians do the same exact shit...it's just never publicized. The fact of the matter is that Christianity/Catholicsm has been responsible for millions of deaths throughtout the centuries so don't give me that right wing bullshit!

  2. Oh come on...Can't you see how stupid you are for writing this article. I mean, I'm embarrassed to write this comment under your article because I'm afraid I may be talking to a child.

You take a handful of stories and condemn billions. You are blaming a religion because of the stupidity of a minority who seem to garner the news headlines (which you obviously are feeding off of.)

Seriously. There are so many stories like these that can be accumulated of any group, religion, etc. You do realize that by writing such an article you are feeding into the anger and hate, instead of trying to bring people together. It comes off as trying to induce a sense of hate towards other Muslims.

What about Muslims that condemn these actions or regular Muslims who are just trying to adapt to the already hate-filled climate in this day and age who now have to deal with more ignorant people that read this and think that "all" Muslims are like this?

Ironically, you come off as a bad person yourself when you try and paint a whole group of people by handful of events.

Do the right thing...write some positive articles.

Need help? Well let me provide some examples:

See how easy that was. It didn't take me much effort to accomplish the exact opposite of what your article is set to do.

  3. What? Where have you heard about Christians doing these things in the name of their religion in the past 20 years? Or Jews? Or Mormons? Or Buddhists? Or people of a number of other religions?

ComeOnMAN, I'm sorry, but your post sounds childish. This stuff is happening in extreme Islamic cultures. You won't make it go away with fluffy-bunny articles to counteract it. Heck, for all of these images Urban has shared, I could probably pull up a dozen more, depicting atrocities committed by Muslim extremists, most of them against women. Why are you afraid to bring it up and discuss it? Are you afraid of insulting Muslims? Because there are some good ones out there who despise what's happening in their culture as much as I do.

  4. Mr. Cums on Men really missed the whole premise of this article. THERE ARE TONS OF GOOD STORIES ABOUT PEOPLE OF ALL RELIGIONS WORKING TOGETHER FOR THE GREATER GOOD.... But usually that only happens in the United States, where it won't leave you covered in welts, or without a head.

The point of this piece was to say, "Hey- our military is over in these countries because of how disgusting the treatment of humans is when at the hands of violent extremists, yet you go on about how horrible it is here when people read the Bible and apply its messages to daily life... and even politics."

The Muslim extremists are out of their fucking minds, even though I'm not the biggest fan of certain aspects of Christianity, I can still appreciate that when they disagree with something they don't bust out a machete to solve the problem. They pray. I mean, maybe they'll push for a bill to stop abortion, but that's a measure to prevent murder.

Whatever man- I have never seen a picture of someone being lashed, and it reinforces my beliefs in making changes over there for the majority who live in fear of these freaks. Christians can be kinda weird- I definitely know that- but when it comes down to it they have huge hearts and will accept anyone. And look what happens--- persecuted all the time for simple things like "I want to pray wherever I feel like it. I want to walk down the street and not have my fucking HEAD REMOVED."

"Extreme Islam: A platform for injustice, abuse and murder"

You obviously didn't read the entire article nor did you understand the title of the post - EXTREME ISLAM.

You can go ahead and try to belittle me with your “child” comments; but that doesn’t discount the fact that EXTREME ISLAM is a problem and if you can’t see that, you are blinded by the luxurious of living here in the US.

Anyone can go to a search engine and find positive articles about anything. Shoot, I am sure you can find something positive about murder, rape and child porn if you look hard enough. If you want to read positive articles, make your way to the newsstand and pick up the latest copy of Readers Digest.

  8. *Rape = adulterous affair?*

Nope, but sitting in a car with some guy ur meeting up with to get a photograph of the two of you together is apparently. The rape was commited by 3rd parties. http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/middle_east/7147632.stm

The US administrations opinion on her judgement - "astonishing", according to the BBC. Sounds more like a reaction to a card trick than what this girl would have had to have gone through. Thankfully the King pardoned her.

  9. Sean - yes, you are right. This story was released today; and yes, thankfully she was pardoned.

    Thanks for the link!

  10. ComeOnMAN obviously wasn't interested in reading the article and discussing the facts. UC obviously laid the foundation that this article was about Extremism and not your everyday Muslim. THAT was made clear.

It's no wonder why so many people can't wake up to the danger that is Extremism, of ANY religion. Unfortunately for Islam, many fundamentalist Muslims have taken a lead role in participating in violent activities in the name of their religion.

More and more we should be realizing that these incidents are no longer isolated to the Middle East. The poor girl who was murdered by her father for not wearing the hijab happened a suburb of where I live, Toronto, CANADA.

  11. Shey - thanks for the comment. It's typical that many of the people that comment on this blog and don't read the entire article.

    Have a great week!

  13. Hmm...

"THERE ARE TONS OF GOOD STORIES ABOUT PEOPLE OF ALL RELIGIONS WORKING TOGETHER FOR THE GREATER GOOD....But usually that only happens in the United States"

Speaking from Britain...please tell me some of these 'good stories' - it would be interesting to hear a few tales of American multicultural spirit - It's quite hard for the rest of the world to picture the Evangelists, Mormons, Jehovah's Witnesses and Muslims of America holding hands and laughing together, as they spoon soup in to bowls for the homeless and perhaps braid eachother's hair...if that is indeed the type of scenario you refer to when you speak of 'working together for the greater good' (A phrase quite popular in fascist rhetoric also.)

"Whatever man- I have never seen a picture of someone being lashed, and it reinforces my beliefs in making changes over there for the majority who live in fear of these freaks."

Yes, I applaud Urban Conservative's use of shocking pictures to 'reinforce' your 'beliefs in making changes' - it's a technique often used on young children to shock them into taking your side of an argument. Of course, it could also be interpreted as meaningless propaganda - i.e. 'here are some horrible pictures I have found, through my extensive research on google images, which I can use to back-up my claim that the entire islamic faith is evil and extremist and should therefore be irradicated by America as we are the sole keepers of truth and justice afterall...'

    ..Which brings me to:

"The point of this post is not to condemn Islam because I do know several Muslims who condemn this extreme and radical behavior. I am trying to make a point that what you see on this blog (and other’s like mine) is not extreme at all…In fact, you have no idea what EXTREME really is!"

This is quite an ambigous comment - it appears to be both an obligatory disclaimer that "Of course, I don't think ALL muslims are extremist..." (which I assume is mainly there to assert that you, yourself, are not extremist for some of your firmly right-wing views - an accusation that you've obviously lost some sleep over.) yet it also seems to suggest that the beheadings and whippings you've depicted do not do justice to the extent of EXTREMISM we have to fear from Islam...it's just too EXTREME for us to handle...
wow...you are truly an oracle of wisdom.

Browsing your website has prooved mildly entertaining. We definately have an extensive catalogue of stupidity in England, but it is nothing compared to the extent of dogmatic, uninfromed, bigoted verbal diarrhea involved in American politics.

    Thank you.
