Watching the debate now...thank you Tivo!

Just watched Huck's comments about Israel. He made some really good points when addressing Ron.

I agree that Israel is our strongest ally; and we need to support our brothers and sisters there.

Long live Israel!

I'm not sure that I watched the same debate as the rest of you. Fox had their opinion poll afterwards and Ron Paul won by a large margin. What's up with that? Don't you Paulites have anything better to do than to bombard the phone lines? Ron Paul has a lot of good ideas, but he reminds me of a Republican on steroids! And I don't think we want a juicer in the whitehouse do we? ;-} If he is elected the middle east would become an extreme Islamic paradise, and if you think oil is too expensive now, watch out! Fred Thompson finally took off his gloves, and acted like he was interested! Did someone slip him a Red Bull before the debate started? I like Fred, but I just don't think he has the charisma or intelligence to be the Prez. Huckabee is charismatic, and king of the one liners, but he spins out of control trying to defend his tax and immigration record in Arkansas. I love his christian values, but I'm afraid that wouldn't be enough to get him elected. McCain? Hmmm, where do I start? It seemed to me like he forgot to take his alzheimers medication yesterday morning. He was very nervous, and couldn't really come up with the right answers without taking a short nap first! And I don't think we really want a one term, lame duck President do we? I mean seriously.... Rudy, Rudy, Rudy.......Even though I don't agree with most of Rudy's social values, I would trust him on economic issues and his ability to win the war on terror. And finally, the man who actually won the debate last night, Mitt Romney. Mitt has yet to get the recognition he deserves from the media, and I suspect it is for one good reason. They know he is the most qualified and ready candidate on the Republican side, and their afraid that he would beat any of their beloved Democrats in November! If evangelical christians would wake up and think about more than just him being Mormon, he would probably have won Iowa. Mitt is an eloquent thinker and speaker, and has a real conservative record as well. And he and Thompson are the only ones left that seem to understand the illegal immigration issue. No, I'm not Mormon. I am an evangelical christian, and I had to think a little while about whether I would want a Mormon President. But let's get real here. We're not electing the President to be our Pastor. We need a strong Commander-in-Chief who will also be able to deal with the economic, health care, and education issues that we're facing today. I haven't totally made my decision yet. Something could happen before Super Tuesday to change my mind. But if I had to vote today, Mitt Romney would get my vote. Happy voting!

I am a conservative Christian, and I didn't vote for Huckabee in the NH primaries. It seems my fellow conservative Christian friends have their heads in the sand, when it comes to taking a long hard look at their candidates voting record. This happened during the Bush campaign, which I was a part of. I've learned my lesson. Just because a candidate, says, or is, a Christian is not a reason to vote for a them.
Ron Paul is the only one that goes against what all the other are saying. They all sound the same to me. I'm embarrassed, today, to say I'm a Republican. Ron Paul is absolutely right, the Republican party has lost it's way! And what an outrage, and insult, from Carl Cameron, to ask Dr. Paul if he is electable! Shame on you Fox!! I used to watch your show. Not anymore! You say you're fair and balanced? More like Unfair and Bias.
I have personally met and spoken with this Dr. Paul. He is such an honorable man. He isn't your typical politician. When I spoke with Dr. Paul, in my hometown, in NH, and asked him his personal concerns, on certain issues, he would look me square in the eye, as if no one else were around. He took his time speaking with me. I felt like I knew this man most of my life. He is so genuine and humble. I didn't, ever, hear him brag about himself, like the other candidates. That mattered to me. He takes the time to listen to the people. He truely is one of us!! Too bad all the mainstream media has been bought and paid for by a bunch of elitists. One other thing. The people that were selected by Faux, to say who they thought the winner and who the loser were, I wonder how much Fox paid them to say Ron Paul was the loser? That was so obvious. I hope the American people wake up and see what Fox, CNN and other mainstream media are really all about, and that's reporting only what they want to report.
I told Ron Paul that he's my new hero!
He truely is the "Champion of the Constitution!!" Go Ron Paul!!

Let me ask you a question. Do you trust the government to decide what's best for you and your family? When I listened to Huckabee at the SC debate, and heard him say, "The next thing, those that might have attacked the Navy ships, would see would be the gates of hell!" Let me ask you, is that what Jesus would say? Of course we need to defend our own country if we are attacked. Iraq didn't attack us. A lot of our Border Patrol officers are over in Iraq. Shouldn't they be over here, in our own country, keeping the illegal's out?
We quickly changed our focus from Osama Bin Laden to Iraq. I think we are so quick to go to war. Did you know, Ron Paul has the most financial support from active duty service men and women. I am not saying that I agree with everything RP says. If you agree with everything a candidate says, I think that can be dangerous. But to vote for someone, just because they say, or are, a Christian, doesn't mean that that would make them a good President. I'm not saying Huckabee isn't a decent, Christian, man. Of course I share much of the same values that he does. Ron Paul is also a Christian.
But when I look at a candidate's voting record, and their consistency, that's what really matters most to me. Ron Paul is the most pro-life candidate running for president. He has the most experience. He has the most consistent voting record out of all the candidate's. He voted in defense of Israel, during the I think it would do you well to do your own research, and stop listening to the mainstream media, and even some "Christian talk shows" on the radio and t.v.
I called into a "Christian talk show", last week. Of course Huckabee was being promoted and defended. They were saying how unfair, and bias, the mainstream media was being to MH. I wanted to tell them how I agreed with them. I called in and told them my name and where I was from (NH). They were very kind to me, up until the part when I told them that I had been campaigning for RP, and how I thought it wasn't just MH they were being unfair and bias to. I was conveiniently disconnected. I called back and they told me they were going to a commercial break for 10 minutes, and that I should call back after that. I tried for 45 minutes. No answer. I find. even the Christian community, is very unfair and bias.
If you do your research on American government, you will find that our Founding Father's wanted to make sure that our country never ended up becoming a Democracy. We are a Republic. Unfortunately, the Constitution has been edited and things have been added. But no where, in the Declaration of Independence, or the Constitution, will you, ever find, the word, Democracy, even mentioned. I think you should do your research, on the original intent, that our Founding Father's had for this country. It certainly wasn't intended for the government to have as much control over the American people as it does today. We have become dependent on the government from cradle to grave. We are taxed on just about everything. Yes, the Republican party has lost it's way. The government has lost it's way. And, unfortunately, the American people have allowed this to happen.
The Constitution, was intended to keep the government from becoming larger, and oppressive, toward the American people. The power to govern, was to be given to the people from their states. Unfortunately, we have a corrupt system. The Republic needs to be restored. I refuse to jump on the "Christian bandwagon" like I did in '04, when I campaigned for Pres. Bush.
And why are we giving the Arab nations so much money? Money that we don't even have. We give 3x's as much money to the Arab's. Why do we arm Israel's enemies if we care about Israel. We should be against all the weapons that go to the Arab nations-Ron Paul, from the SC debate directed to Mike Huckabee.
Yes, Israel is one of our ally's, so is Britain and Australia, among others, but we don't go tell them how to run their countries. Israel, is a sovereign state. Let them make their own peace treaties. They are more than capable of taking care of themselves. In the 1980's, Israel took care of a nuclear reactor in Iraq. Ron Paul stood up and defended Israel for doing this. Nobody else did at that time.
Ron Paul, from the SC debate 1/10/08- "Let me see if I get this right. We need to borrow $10 billion from China, and then we give it to Musharraf, who is a military dictator, who overthrew an elected government. And then we go to war, where we lose all these lives promoting democracy in Iraq? I mean, what's going on here?"
The government is sick, the country needs a doctor, not a lawyer!
Go Ron Paul!! Restore the Republic! Bring our Troops home!!

The mainstream media is bought and paid for, much like our own government. It's a bunch of bureaucracy. They pick and choose who should be President, and then give that candidate the most airtime and recognition. It's a disgrace! The really sad thing is, most Americans listen to them, and believe that they're reporting the truth, when it's really no different than a communist or fascist country, pushing it's own agenda and propaganda on the people. When will we wake up and take back our country? This election is crucial. Our country is at a crossroad. The only candidate speaking the truth is Ron Paul. The mainstream media must feel threatened by him, or else they would give him more air time. Just look at this site. Where is Ron Paul or Huckabee? Why is Rudy in the picture? He hasn't even come close to beating Ron Paul in most of the primaries or caucuses. It's all rigged.

"Let me get this right. We need to borrow $10 billion from China, and then we give it to Musharraf, who is a military dictator, who overthrew an elected government. Enough about Ron Paul already! He doesn't have a chance, so get over it and grow up. I like some of what Ron Paul says, but his view on the war against Islamic fascism KILLS his chances of winning altogether! And the days of isolationism are over folks! No country will be able to exist without playing a part in the global economy anymore. And BECAUSE OF 911, the world has changed forever! We MUST stay involved in world politics in order to give the world half a chance for peace! Ron Paul is still living in the pre-WWII era. Look what happened with Hitler when we refused to think that he would do. Our political system is what it is, and it isn't going to drastically change. You either work with it, or get out of it! If you don't like our country, then leave. I don't see anyone being forced to stay. You could spend your time and energy in much better ways than to cry about Ron Paul. Call and email your elected officials about reigning in the anti-American, left wing, liberal media, and all of the other lunatic organizations like the ACLU, Planned Parenthood, and CAIR. If you REALLY care about this country, then we need to get back to the Judao-Christian principles that this country was founded on, and that what has made it great! And we know that NONE of the Democrats are going there. Let's get united behind whomever becomes the Republican nominee so that we have a fighting chance of taking back our country from the left wing socialists that are trying to destroy it!!

I agree, we need to return to our Judeo/Christian roots. The Declaration of Independence, and Constitution, were inspired by with these principles in mind. Unfortunately, the Constitution has been edited a few too many times. If we want to return to our Judeo/Christian principles we must, first and foremost, Restore the Republic. The Constitution is under attack and it must be protected form the elitists and power hungry politicians. I don't know where you got your information on Ron Paul. He is the most conservative candidate running. Ron Paul voted for our troops to go into Afghanistan to specifically go after Bin Laden. Bin Laden was the behind 911. Our government knows this all too well.
Going into Iraq, was not only illegal, but unethical. There was no declaration of war voted by Congress. Where are the weapons of mass destruction? In a trial you need evidence. There is no solid evidence. It's really important to study foreign policy before you go off ranting and raving. You seem to have your facts wrong. I would suggest you go back and do some of your own research. Obviously, you really don't know the true facts, when it comes to RP.
We need to take care of our own country, right now, and stop trying to police the world. I wonder how much longer we can keep borrowing money from the Chinese to fund this war? Well, some people are making money off of it, and that is unfortunate. We give money to Israel's enemies, yet say Israel is our greatest ally in the Middle East. Something needs to change. Ron Paul is America's only hope. We are in the middle of a recession and no one seems to have an answer on how to really fix the problem. Giving out checks from the Federal Reserve is not the answer. It's just a matter of time before our economy comes crashing down. Ron Paul is a genious when it economics. Check out his voting record. It's unwavering. He is truely, the Champion of the Constitution!

Well, I know where you're getting your facts - straight from Ron Paul's mouth. All of the top Democrats ALSO voted to go to Afghanistan AND to remove Saddam from power in Iraq. We KNOW he had WMDs, that was NOT and is NOT a question!! The question is "where did they go?" But Ron Paul, and apparently you don't really care about that! You would rather bring all of our troops home and WAIT for the radical Islamists to come to us and blow up our schools, shopping malls, churches, and cities! Well, the American people do NOT agree with you. Like I said, RP has a lot of good ideas. I agree with what he is saying about China, and so do most of the other Republican candidates! We need to even the playing field when it comes to trade and foreign fiscal policies. The Repubs aren't really that much different when it comes to economic policies. The main difference is in how we fight the war on terror. And RP is totally off in left field! I agree that it "seems" counter-productive to give aid to competing countries. But we have ALWAYS done what is in the best interest of America, and somethimes that means doing things that seem wrong. I could agree to stop giving aid to ANY countries in the world UNTIL this war on terror is cleaned up, and the radical Islamic movement is stopped. But I'm not that naive to think that I know better than our elected officials who have all of the information needed to make the right decisions for America. I would even ask RP for some of his advice if I were elcted President. But wake up WC. If you want to be around when a dirty bomb goes off in one of our cities, then why don't you just go over to Iraq and experience it there? We don't want it to happen here! Again, if you're worried about the constitution being protected, you need to go after those that are tearing it apart. Go get the ACLU and liberal judges who want to legislate from the bench WC! Join a cause that will actally change the direction of our country for good! Ron Paul has made his mark in this election, just as Duncan Hunter and Tom Tancredo have. @ DS I'm so sick of your, "I know better than you do", attitude, and your insults. It shows how arrogant you really are. I already voted in the NH primary and intend on voting in the Nov. election. At least I don't hide who I support, unlike you. But hey, maybe you have a good reason to keep it a "secret." How can you even discuss the elections when you probably aren't even going to vote. What are you afraid of? Why won't you stand behind your candidate?
Why has Ron Paul received more donations from active-duty soldiers, sailors, airmen, and marines than any other Republican presidential candidate?

It's simple. Throughout his career, Ron has proven his patriotism by supporting a strong national defense and fighting for the rights of veterans.

Most importantly, all veterans – and all other citizens – would have confidence that with Paul as commander-in-chief, soldiers would never be put into harm’s way unless America’s national security were at stake. Paul has always stood for military readiness, secure borders, and the fair treatment of our troops – never “nation-building,” crusades for democracy, and “peace keeping” at the behest of the U.N.

Ronald Reagan, who knew a patriot when he saw one, was an excellent judge of Paul’s character: “Ron Paul is one of the outstanding leaders fighting for a stronger national defense. As a former Air Force officer, he knows well the needs of our armed forces, and he always puts them first.”

The war in Iraq was sold to us with false information. The area is more dangerous now than when we entered it. We destroyed a regime hated by our direct enemies, the jihadists, and created thousands of new recruits for them. This war has cost more than 3,000 American lives, thousands of seriously wounded, and hundreds of billions of dollars. We must have new leadership in the White House to ensure this never happens again.

Both Jefferson and Washington warned us about entangling ourselves in the affairs of other nations. Today, we have troops in 130 countries. We are spread so thin that we have too few troops defending America. And now, there are new calls for a draft of our young men and women.

We can continue to fund and fight no-win police actions around the globe, or we can refocus on securing America and bring the troops home. No war should ever be fought without a declaration of war voted upon by the Congress, as required by the Constitution.

Under no circumstances should the U.S. again go to war as the result of a resolution that comes from an unelected, foreign body, such as the United Nations.

Too often we give foreign aid and intervene on behalf of governments that are despised. Then, we become despised. Too often we have supported those who turn on us, like the Kosovars who aid Islamic terrorists, or the Afghan jihadists themselves, and their friend Osama bin Laden. We armed and trained them, and now we’re paying the price.

At the same time, we must not isolate ourselves. The generosity of the American people has been felt around the globe. Many have thanked God for it, in many languages. Let us have a strong America, conducting open trade, travel, communication, and diplomacy with other nations.

RON PAUL FOR PRESIDENT!!

I would beg to question which of us has the "I know better than you" attitude. And I will be voting next Tuesday for the candidate that I believe is best able to resolve the issues facing our country today, and in the future. And that candidate is Mitt Romney. WC, the world has changed dramatically since the founding fathers warned us against entangling ourselves in the affairs of other nations. At that time, foreign countries would have had a difficult time invading America. With all of the technological advances since then, I think they would change their positions a bit. At that time there weren't WMDs that could literally wipe out a major U.S. city, or technology that could literally destroy the electrical infrastructure of our country! Come on WC. Stop living in the pre-WWII era! The world is a dangerous place now, and we CAN'T just sit back and let the radical Islamists continue to mutliply and plot the destruction of western civilization. That's why 911 happened, and that's exactly what Ron Paul will allow to happen if he has his way. Again, I like some of RPs ideas concerning economics, but his foregin policy positions scare me to death! Again, if you don't think that Islamic terrorists are serious about destroying us, why don't you prove it by going to the Middle East to live? I've said all that I am going to say to you. If anyone else would like to chime in, feel free.

He's right WC, the world has changed and Ron Paul is living in the past. Besides, how is America suppose to declare war on an enemy that doesnt have a country, uniform or even a formal army? The fact is that EVERYONE in the United States was ready to do something about 9/11 when it was 9/12, democrats and republicans alike, and you didnt hear anything from a Ron Paul then. But now he thinks he can garnish political favor by opposing our nations decision by going back and saying its unconstitutional. Ron Paul didn't sit on his hands when 911 happened, as you are proposing. He voted to go after Bin Laden in Afghanistan. It was Bin Laden who took full responsibility for 911. Go back and check your facts before you say things like, Ron Paul didn't do anything after 911. If you want to continue in a war that is leading to no where, while thousands of Americans are dying, and is costing us more than a trillion dollars to fund, then go ahead and vote for Romney, McCain or Huckabee. Huckabee is a phony and should have NO cred with religious folks who are smart enough to know he is being controlled by the CFR's Richard Haass. For those of you who don't know the CFR is a private Rockefellerian group that runs the world, and foreign policy and once they got hold of Huck that's how he got traction in the media. They have people planted in the media, in fact you will find that in 1925 they simply sent one person to each of the major outlets but now, it's almost a requirement that they hire people from that group.

This group is very dangerous because they don't care which party wins, they just want someone who is for open borders and world government and more socialism... they do not abide by nor respect the Constitution.

They are a dangerous atheistic bunch and this is who Huck is in bed with.

ALL RELIGIOUS PEOPLE SHOULD GET A CLUE and go with a true independent and religious man like Ron Paul.
