You Decide: Who won the CNN Republican Debate?

CNN Republican Debate

Republican presidential candidates will face off Wednesday night (tonight) without a familiar face as Rudy Giuliani is expected to drop out and endorse Senator John McCain.

The remaining candidates (Romney, McCain, Ron Paul and Huckabee) will take the stage in what’s expected to be a heated debate — sponsored by CNN, the Los Angeles Times and Politico — beginning at 8 p.m. ET .

I assume that the economy will likely take center stage. The economy was by far the number one  issue for Florida voters Tuesday, according to exit polls. Forty-five percent of Florida Republicans surveyed after voting said the economy was the most important factor in their choice for president.

Tonight’s event is expected to be the last face-to-face showdown between the Republicans before next week’s Super Tuesday contests in which 20+ states will hold primaries and caucuses.

The event at the Ronald Reagan Presidential Library in Simi Valley, California, follows McCain’s Tuesday night win in the Florida primary.

So what are you waiting for? Chime in and Vote!

I simply cannot get over how many people in my state voted for McCain. I guess I shouldn't be so surprised-- people love Hillary, too. I know it's mostly old people voting for him, but seriously-- they're old. They sit around and watch TV. They know how weak he is on everything, as well as physically. Maybe they relate to someone who doesn't seem to have the strength to even sit up straight.

Last night I watched the debate with two friends- one a very liberal Canadian, one just a liberal liberal who borders on psychotic at times. BOTH OF THEM had looks of disbelief on their faces when McCain was speaking. I myself was punching as close to the TV as I could get, especially when McCain sat there with that stupid douchey smirk on his face when Mitt was talking.

My friends both admitted that it was very difficult to admit that they actually LIKED Mitt Romney! They had never seen anyone other than Ron Paul, I guess, and we all love him for his ideas but we don't vote for him because he can't follow through. I've heard a lot of people say RP would be a good VP to Mitt :)

It gave me goosebumps that they liked Mitt, because these are the types who thrive on George Bush conspiracy theories. Here they were, appreciating the business-oriented mind and pleasant nature of Mitt. They took some joking swipes at his hair, but that's much more tolerable than looking at McCain- I mean, I was kind of high, and I really thought his skin was melting off his face. If he didn't act like such a cocky little fucker I would NEVER be this hostile. But I'm mad at Florida. I think a lot of people who voted for him last night are possibly regretting it.

I also watched the republican debates. I was pretty digusted Florida voted for John
McCain. I voted for Ron Paul. He is the real change for the american people but
the american people are too dumbed down......I feel like slapping McWar and
plastic Romney with those smirks on their faces. Actually, I am not giving up
on Ron Paul. As the economy worsens, and it will, RON PAUL is going to look
REAL GOOD and maybe just maybe people will wake up out of their stupor.

I am constantly amazed at people who claim to be small government conservatives and yet, they support people who are far from being conservative. And the one candidate who has actually read the Constitution and remembers that he took an oath to it, is mocked, ridiculed, and marginalized.
So much for your principles. You might as well call yourselves big government liberals because if you are a big government conservative, what is the difference?

it's just fun to watch the sudden demise of the republican party.......i could have even voted for a republican in 2000(if McCain were the candidate then).......not now.

Here's how a real liberal sees 'em......
Mitt......Too phony
Huck....Real,......lunatic baptist preacher
McCain......Too Old, possible brain damage is now evident

and it's hard for some to see just how much more F***'d-Up it can be after this prez leaves office.......but with any of these 3 we can plumb new depths!

well what i saw in the news today proves my point on what the US has turned into.  people who were out shopping trampled a man and no one stopped to help him.  that is similar to this election.  as the lady said on the news, now that we voted obama in, i expect him to pay my mortgage, bills, etc.  the few people that i know that voted for that idiot felt the same way.  how selfish has this society become?  i actually got into a heated argument with a liberal before the election on the subject of voting for what is best for the country and not what is best for an individual.  she argued that i was shallow in my thinking and she thinks people should vote for what they can get out of the government!  obama promised people who make the wrong choices who don't earn a decent living everything including not having to pay but a minimal or no taxes, and those who work hard to better themselves will have to pay a huge price for their efforts.  that is not AMERICA and what it stands for!  now years ago when children were taught respect for others and our country along with the belief in God, most people would have been highly upset at what our country has become!  however, now liberals have turned our country into an "anything goes" country.  i am waiting to see a law passed making it legal to have sex on the streets for all children to see because it is their "right" under freedom of expression!  it seems it is almost there now!  so all of this make me think about how proud i am of my Conservative Republican values and that we raised our son to be the same!
