Of course, this hasn’t received any mainstream media attention whatsoever.
So, we all know that Barack Obama already has an issue with wearing the American Flag on his jacket; and with putting his hand over his heart during the National Anthem. When isolated, these two issues may seem insignificant but when you look at it holistically, there is a huge problem. On a more important note, can anyone tell me why in the hell is he sporting a Cuban flag with a picture of Communist punk (and murderer) Che Guevara on the wall of his Houston campaign office? Where in the hell is the outrage from the mainstream media?

Why is it that history has a unique way of turning atrocities into admiration? Take a walk though any mall in urban America and you will be amazed; there is Che merchandise everywhere: t-shirts, caps, Key chains and mugs. His image is freakin’ trademarked for God’s sake and someone is making a ton of money. The one-time king of communism is now the ultimate capitalist. And the ironic thing about is that most people who wear his paraphernalia have no idea of who this man really was.

I was at the mall over the weekend and saw a young couple wearing matching Che Guevara t-shirts. I hesitated for a moment, but decided to ask them why they idolized this man…here was the woman’s response, “he is a symbol for all Latinos that we should fight for our rights and freedoms…and anyone who is oppressed can make a difference”. I was irritated at her response but admired her passion for a man she knew nothing about. The fact is that Che Guevara was not oppressed or poor. He was a medical doctor, having originally trained to become a doctor at the University of Buenos Aires.
