The following image consists of influential conservative politicians, pundits, talk and radio show hosts (Newt Gingrich, George Bush, Dick Cheney, Bill O’Reilly, Glen Beck, Rush Limbaugh, Sean Hannity, Mitt Romney, Michael Savage and Lars Larson.) They are influential. They have a significant following. And they are all conservative (some more conservative than the others, obviously). But the other commonality of these folks is pretty simple. They are all white males (grumpy old men); and we see/listen/read about them every day on the news, in newspapers, blogs, etc.

Not confirmed yet but the chatter is getting louder and louder. I wrote a brief post about this a month ago but have been thinking about it for quite sometime. Condi has repeatedly said that she does not “do politics” but her name keeps popping up as a potential running mate for McCain.

I’m still dumbfounded by the New York Times’ audacious front-page report about Sen. John McCain and an improper relationship he allegedly had with a female lobbyist. And when I say “dumbfounded” I am not claiming surprise at the clear bias the Times held in what appears to be a very calculated news release; rather, I am referring to the shock I received when I realized that one of the world’s most respected newspapers published a front-page piece that lacks the foundation one would expect to find in a high school research paper. From the New York Times:
A female lobbyist had been turning up with him at fund-raisers, visiting his offices and accompanying him on a client’s corporate jet. Convinced the relationship had become romantic, some of his top advisers intervened to protect the candidate from himself — instructing staff members to block the woman’s access, privately warning her away and repeatedly confronting him, several people involved in the campaign said on the condition of anonymity.

John McCain basically swept Super Tuesday and made him all but unstoppable. He was able to rack up enough convention delegates in Super Tuesday’s voting to put him within arms reach of the coveted GOP presidential nomination that eluded him eight long years ago.
McCain led among moderate Republicans of course, while Romney held strong support from conservative Republicans, according to early results of exit polling in 16 states for the AP and television networks.

Republican presidential candidates will face off Wednesday night (tonight) without a familiar face as Rudy Giuliani is expected to drop out and endorse Senator John McCain.
The remaining candidates (Romney, McCain, Ron Paul and Huckabee) will take the stage in what’s expected to be a heated debate — sponsored by CNN, the Los Angeles Times and Politico — beginning at 8 p.m. ET .

We believed in Mitt and Mitt delivered again! (How was it that Ron Paul spanked McCain, Huck, Thompson and Giuliani? Now, how about some more straight talk? Let’s dispel some myths, shall we?
MYTH: NV is not as important a state as SC.
FACT: Nevada is infinitely more important, as it is a crucial “purple” swing state in the general election, whereas SC is a solid red state. The GOP nominee who wins SC will carry SC in the general election no matter what, whereas it takes a STRONG Nevada player to influence that state’s leaning in the generals. That would be Mitt Romney. If you believe NV has no significance, than deductively, you do not believe FL will be significant in the primaries, either.
MYTH: Fred Thompson will endorse John McCain if he drops out.
FACT: It frankly does not matter whom Fred Thompson endorses. I personally can’t wait for Fred to drop out, as Romney will pick up votes because they share an overlapping voting bloc. It will help Romney if Fred endorses McCain. Thompson’s voters despise McCain; an endorsement would further propel the voters toward Romney.

We stood united in our beliefs because we know there is no substitute for being on the RIGHT side of issues.
We ignored the naysayers, the drive-by’s, the mainstream media (MSM), the Politico, the hacks who are sorry excuses for journalists…because we stood firm in our convictions and had the courage to stand up for what is right.
We stood firm in our convictions because we know there is no refuting talent, achievement, reason, dignity, and justice.
