Indeed, Liberalism is a Mental Disorder

November 19th, 2006

Well, not really. For the most part, Im joking. The idea that liberalism is a mental disorder was first coined by conservative talk show host Michael Savage in his first book the Savage Nation in 2003. It was then adopted by Ann Coulter in her latest book, Godless: The Church of Liberalism, 2006.

Savages thesis for many of his books and daily topics is that liberalism and the idea that being politically correct is destroying our nation. He frequently identifies news stories that he claims are an assault on our borders, language and culture. I do agree with his analysis, but I dont think that ALL liberals actually have a mental disorder. For the most part, many ordinary liberals (including myself when I was in my early twenties) just have a different world view (or perception) about the world they live in. They have unfortunately been spoon fed their liberal ideologies since birth, thanks to our educational systems and the media. These liberals really have no perspective of life outside their comfortable little suburban cities in San Francisco, Portland or New York. They have NO IDEA whatsoever of what goes on outside our borders; yet when they discuss politics, they all of sudden become experts in foreign policy.

The liberals that I believe have a mental disorder are the ones like George Soros who believe that drugs should be legalized; felons should be allowed to vote; and blames Israel for anti-Semitism around the world. Then there is extreme liberal Nancy Pelosi; well, no comment on her.

Any other victims of this horrible mental disorder that we need to be aware of?

You forgot John Kerry. I'm STILL trying to figure out his "botched joke".

  2. Michael Says:

purpleheartvet - yes, you are right. But everyone knows that John Kerry has mental issues.

    Thanks for stopping by.

    Michael

indeed, you forgot Cindy Sheehan and the entire ACLU.

What on earth is a "little suburban city" and how is it somehow inside another city? Are you talking about neighborhoods in cities? Suburbs outside cities? That doesn't even make sense.

  5. Michael Says:

Perhaps suburban wasn't the right term...but you get my point.

    my bad!

  6. Scott Says:

Are you talking about cultural liberals? Or political liberals? Your "conservative" president is a cultural conservative, but spends money like there is no tomorrow... perhaps Armageddon on his mind. I grew up in a conservative christian home, went to church for 3 hours every Sunday, voted republican (because it is easier than thinking)... but, I gave up religion for lent... born again atheist... culturally very liberal... and thinking more healthily than I ever did as a brainwashed conservative. As they say... "God loves spiritual fruits... not religious nuts." You blame our education system and "liberal media." What a crock... our media is owned by a bunch of conservatives who will sell ANYTHING to increase to margin at the bottom. You really think it is the news anchors and actors that are influencing precious young minds? I doubt you were a liberal in your twenties... probably rebelled against your parents... radical does not equal liberal.

  7. Michael Says:

Scott - I am talking about both; and you are a classic example of a liberal with a mental disorder. Not sure where you got this notion, but I never claimed to be a republican and I never said Bush was a conservative president. I personally don't think he is conservative enough!!!

Sorry to hear about the issues you had growing up in church; it's too bad that you are so ignorant as to what Christianity really is. It's not about religion at all; it's about having a personal relationship with Christ.

You don't even know me and you claim that I "probably" wasn't liberal....you damn libs give me so much ammo to write it in my blog.......thank you!
