A Great Example of What “NOT” to do as a Parent!

April 23rd, 2007 Urban Conservative

Okay, old news already but I actually wrote this last week. Psychopath Alec Baldwin unleashed a volcanic outburst of threats and insults to his 11-year-old daughter, Ireland, calling her a “thoughtless little pig,” and bashing her mom Kim Basinger. And I just learned that a family judge was so alarmed after hearing the tape, that she has temporarily barred Baldwin from having any contact with his child.

And here is the ironic thing (now, you know I have mix a little politics with this):

Mr. Baldwin is an extreme liberal! I can’t imagine a liberal filled with so much hatred for his daughter. Aren’t liberals the ones who are trying to pass legislation in California making it a misdemeanor for parents who spank thier children? Also, let’s not forget that last year a judge wanted a psychologist to evaluate Alec to determine whether he was mentally capable of seeing his daughter. Seems to me that Alec needs some counseling to help with his mental disorder.

Pro Child, Pro Family and Pro Choice - What?

April 23rd, 2007 Urban Conservative

So, last week on my way to work in the liberal city of Palo Alto, I noticed a sticker on the back of a car that read “Pro Child, Pro Family and Pro Choice”. I was quite confused of the messaging and still don’t understand the true meaning of the sticker.  Now, I usually stay away from the whole “abortion” topic because it is very sensitive to most people; but I thought I would chime in anyway. If you are one of those overly emotional liberals, please do not read further.

It baffles me to think how someone can actually be Pro Child, Pro Family and Pro Choice at the same time; much less advertising it on the back of a car.  But what my experience tells me is that most liberals are more emotional than they are rational which I think explains the sticker.  Essentially, what this person is trying to do is make them self feel better about taking a human life or at least agreeing with it. Perhaps this person is confused, doesn’t know the facts (uninformed) or is a blatant idiot. That of course is always a possibility.

Okay, it’s out…I’m against abortion. Why?  Because it is an undisputed fact that life begins at conception.  No, I am not a freak and I don’t protest Planned Parenthood on the weekends nor do I look down on someone who has had an abortion.  It’s their life and conscious that they have to deal with.

Pro Choice? What about the fetus, do they not get a choice? By the way, the Latin word for fetus means “little child” or “young one”.

Bush is Satan Bulletin on Myspace

April 21st, 2007 Urban Conservative

Today I received a bulletin message on Myspace from someone I accepted as a friend a few months back and I was appalled at what I read. Now what was even more interesting was the link at the bottom pointed to Dennis Kucinich’s Myspace profile…something about impeaching Bush. You can read for yourself.

What caught me off guard with the bulletin was calling President Bush - Satan. Of course, this is not a new tactic; We have all seen the Cindy Sheehan groupies with signs insinuating the same nonsense and rhetoric.

Now this person either has a degree in liberal idiocy or is completely uniformed about the dangers of Ahmadinejad. It’s people like this that give me so much to write about in this blog.  Thank you.

Oh, and yes I did remove him from my buddy list.

Nancy Pelosi: House Speaker, Felon and our Future President?

April 8th, 2007 Urban Conservative

Our lovely House Speaker Nancy Pelosi’s trip to Damascus last week to discuss foreign policy issues with Syrian President Bashar Assad might be considered felony under the Logan Act, according to a former State Department official.

The Logan Act, initiated by President John Adams in 1798, makes it a felony and provides for a prison sentence of up to three years for any American, “without authority of the United States,” to communicate with a foreign government in an effort to influence that government’s behavior on any “disputes or controversies with the United States,” points out Robert F. Turner, former acting assistant secretary of state for legislative affairs.

Additionally, according to WND, members of terrorist organizations whose top leaders live in Syria called Pelosi’s Damascus visit “brave” and “very appreciated,” saying it could bring about “important changes” to America’s foreign policy, including talks with “Middle East resistance groups.”

One quote that really disturbed me was the following:

“Nancy Pelosi understands the area (Middle East) well, more than Bush and Dr. (Condoleeza) Rice,” said Al-Batch, speaking to WND from Gaza. “If the Democrats want to make negotiations with Syria, Hamas, and Hezbollah, this means the Democratic Party understands well what happens in this area and I think Pelosi will succeed. … I hope she wins the next elections.”

Yes, changing our foreign policy with terrorist nations is exactly what we need. What’s next, a weekend visit to the caves of Afghanistan for a two day summit with Bin Laden? Is this the type of leadership we want for our country?

10 Tips on How to Spot a Liberal

April 4th, 2007 Urban Conservative

I am probably going to get a lot of flack for this but I thought I would have a little fun anyway, generalize a bit and quite possibly offend some of the liberals that read this blog; some of which are my friends and others, well…you know. The following ten tips are not true for all liberals of course, just some quick observations I have made throughout the 30 or so years of my life.  Oh, and feel free to include your ‘top ten’ list for conservatives too, if you dare.

  • They are driving a Prius or other trend-hybrid vehicle to satisfy their eco-snobbery
  • Their car has multiple stickers on the back; namely, “Bush Lied and People Died? or something about “faith based missile defense systems”
  • They are wearing a shirt with a “peace? sign; probably with several psychedelic colors and objects. Perhaps a Bob Dylan and/or Beetles shirt too. Read the rest of this entry »
