Book Review: Why my mommy is a democrat

May 27th, 2007 Urban Conservative

Warning: Alright peoples,  I’m about to go postal in this post so if you are an overly-emotional liberal, stop reading — put on your Birkenstocks and take a walk – or sit your lazy a#@ down and go watch the View. If you can handle the truth, keep reading.  So, I am browsing the internet the other night and I came across this ridiculous Google Ad that said something along the lines of “a book about brainwashing your kids to think like Democrats…? so I thought it would be a good idea to click on it and see what the hell this was all about. I was amazed at what I found.

It was a website promoting a children’s book titled Why My Mommy is Democrat? by Jeremy Zilber. The website itself looks as if it was built in the 1980s so at first I thought it was some kind of joke; I was wrong. This guy is actually trying to sell this book.  Probably not on the New York Times Best Seller list, I was still amazed at the effort that Jeremy put into this book being that it is a self-funded project (of course like all democrats — asking for NON-Tax deductible donations); and even hiring a local artist to do the illustration.

I really can’t believe that Jeremy thinks it’s a good idea to brainwash our beloved children to all think one way.  As children and young adults, aren’t we spoon fed liberalism enough throughout the public school system and college?

Jeremy – do you really think that everyone on this planet should think exactly the same as you do? As a nation, would we really be better off?

Jeremy – do you really think it’s healthy to teach our children about political affiliations at such a young age with an “us versus them? mentality?

Jeremy – do you agree with everything the democrats say or do?

If you answered yes to any of the above questions, you are a complete moron!

For those of you who are still reading, here are some excerpts from his book with my rebuttals after each:

“Democrats make sure we all share our toys just like mommy does?

Hmm…sounds more like a socialist than a democrat if there really is a difference. Sure Jeremy, let’s share the wealth too!! We can replicate the fine living standards of those in Cuba where everyone, whether Doctor or street cleaner, get one chicken and ten dollars a month.  Maybe we can also share our nuclear secrets with Iran and North Korea too. I am sure they will accept those with open arms.  And hey, let’s share our country too! We don’t need borders; let’s just leave it open for everyone to come and go as they please and we can all live in one peaceful utopian society.

“Democrats always make sure that we are safe, just like mommy does?

Jeremy, what planet do you live on? Did you feel safer when Clinton was in office? I don’t see how being that there were more terrorist attacks in the US and on US interests than in ANY other administration.  While I am no republican and I am very critical of Bush, I can say that we have not been hit even ONCE since 9/11.

I encourage you all to check out his website and even buy the book. You can always cross out the words or put them in a different order like:

  • “Democrats never make sure that we are safe, but my conservative daddy does. He has a shotgun in case anyone tries to break in and hurt us?.
  • “Democrats love the concept of sharing until it gets up close and personal, but my mommy and daddy always share with me?
  • “Democrats support organizations like NAMBLA even though they want to have sex with kids my age; but I sure do feel safe with my mommy and daddy, they would never hurt me?
  • “Democrats love to stand on the street corners and protest; but my mommy and daddy have jobs and work hard every day?
  • “Democrats hate Christians and want God completely out of the public; but my mommy and daddy love God more than anything?

No More “Poor Little Elisabeth?

May 24th, 2007 Urban Conservative

Finally, Elisabeth has stepped up to the plate and defended herself and her conservative values against the beast.  This is exactly what I mean when I define Conservative 2.0; not a change in conservative ideology; but a change in attitude, character and demeanor. If you didn’t see it yesterday on the View, here is a quick recap:

All the drama started when Rosie expressed disapproval to Elisabeth for not defending her when her comments about “soldiers are terrorists? hit controversial buttons within the media. When Rosie confronted Elisabeth about whether she believed the comment was directly calling U.S. soldiers “terrorists? Hasselbeck didn’t directly answer.

And then the drama ensued:

We all know that Elisabeth and Rosie have disagreed several times before on the show, but yesterday’s battle royal was more than intense and quite fun to watch. When the topic of the Iraq came up, the two went medieval on each other.

Rosie called Elisabeth “cowardly,” and Elisabeth responded back at Rosie that she’s not “poor little Elisabeth,” even dissing guest co-host Sherri Shepherd’s (who in the hell is she anyway?) suggestion that she chill for the sake of her unborn child.

Rosie said that fighting with Elisabeth was “absurd? and told her “for three weeks you can say all the Republican crap you want.? However, she wouldn’t allow Rosie off that easy saying, “It’s much easier to fight someone like Donald Trump because he is obnoxious.? Good job Elisabeth.

Oh, and that other thing about Alicia Silverstone snubbing Elizabeth…ummm, who in the hell is she anyway but another has been - Hollywood liberal that thinks they are an expert in foreign policy like Sean Penn.

Anyone else sick of Rosie like I am?

May 22nd, 2007 Urban Conservative

On Monday morning’s “The View,” co-hosts Rosie O’Donnell and Elisabeth Hasselbeck almost took off the gloves and went toe to toe. This time, the argument was over the use of the word “terrorist” when talking about U.S. troops fighting in Iraq. And once again, as Rosie always does, interrupted Elisabeth with her ranting about the Bush Administration and stated, “I don’t think our American troops are terrorists,”…”I want our American troops home.” Yeah right, like Rosie really cares about anything except media attention and her eating habit! Can her replacement hurry up and get here?  Anyone else irritated about this or am I completely way out of line? Rosie deserves a new category on this blog. I have a feeling that I will be writing more about Miss. Chucky O’Donnell in the near future.

Why Liberals Hate Me!

May 19th, 2007 Urban Conservative

The reason most liberals hate guys like me is that I don’t fit that typical “conservative? stereotype. Yah know…the white, upper-class, Capitol Hill Republican from the south who listen to country music.  No, I have no problem with my fellow brethren just mentioned because for the most part we hold true to the same conservative values; but that’s just not me.  I’m a new breed of conservative…think Conservative 2.0; yet to be fully defined. I consider myself a second generation of conservative thought and attitude.

Here are some other reasons why I get no love from liberals (in no particular order of importance):

  • I’m a minority in their eyes and aren’t all minorities supposed to be democrats? (although I consider myself an American first)
  • I’m educated with a graduate degree (with no financial assistance from the government)
  • I’m charismatic, hip and urban of course
  • I’m a recovering democrat (really, I am.)
  • I know my sh@#! Meaning…I’m informed about many issues and make uninformed liberals look silly, especially the ones in San Francisco that try and debate me
  • I hold firm in my belief structure; even though I am surrounded by liberal ideology and actions

I, personally don’t hate liberals at all. Some of my best friends, co-workers, former managers are all liberals; and they are great people.  It’s all about tolerance, right? Isn’t that what all the left wing groups cry about when they want acceptance?

Global Warming: The debate is still on

May 19th, 2007 Urban Conservative

We’re being told by the main stream media (and Al Gore) that the global warming debate is over and that there is a consensus among scientists saying that you and I are the cause. However, what they are not telling you is that debate is not over. The fact is that many scientists who were once global-warming apologists are now skeptical of global-warming and its causes.

An increasing number of climate scientists now believe the cause of global warming is caused by natural reasons and that man’s contribution to the greenhouse gases is so small that we couldn’t change the climate if we tried.  Additionally, no matter how many billions of dollars are wasted trying to reduce greenhouse gas, man will not be able to affect global warming one way or the other.

So, now why is DiCaprio still warning us that we face extinction from global warming? Yo, Leo…I bet you didn’t know that the average temperature in April 2007 was 51.7 F. This was -0.3 F cooler than the 1901-2000 (20th century) average, the 47th coolest April in 113 years.

Liberalism Kills, Literally

May 9th, 2007 Urban Conservative

If you haven’t heard (and you probably haven’t if all you watch is network TV), a vegan couple was sentenced to life in prison for starving their baby.  The couple was sentenced Wednesday to life in prison for the death of their malnourished 6-week-old baby boy, who was fed a diet consisting of soy milk and apple juice. Okay, so you are wondering how this relates to liberalism, right? Well, it’s quite simple if you use your head for more than just a hat rack.  Most vegans are liberals. It’s that simple.

Okay, all joking aside. This is really a sad case that happens more often than not; and I think life in prison is too damn lenient.  The fact is that when I read stories like this about parents molesting/killing/starving their children; not only do I feel like ripping their heads off, but I really do think that there should be a law that prohibits some from having children!

Goodbye Rosie, We will miss you, NOT!

May 9th, 2007 Urban Conservative

I don’t think there is anyone happier than I that Rosie will not be returning to the View nest season; and quite honestly, I think they all suck with the exception of the lovely (conservative) Elisabeth Hasselbeck. I don’t know about you but there is just something about Rosie that bugs the crap out of me. And even though I am no big fan of the Trumpster either, I did enjoy his bashing of her, her career and the View in general.  Oh and boy do I agree with Camille Paglia’s column just yesterday where she points out that “O’Donnell is a bad advertisement for liberalism”.   I couldn’t agree more; and hopefully Joy Beeeeeehar is on her way out too! So the question remains; who will replace Rosie?
