This is why he won’t win the election.
When Obama was seeking state office a dozen years ago, he took extreme liberal positions in a questionnaire he filled out: flatly opposing the death penalty, in support of a federal single-payer health plan, against any restrictions on abortion, and in support of state laws to ban the manufacture, sale and even possession of handguns.

I know, I know…kinda harsh but it sure does sound good! Well, read on because these are just the facts, not my opinion. In recent news, Detroit Mayor Kwame Kilpatrick – a rising charismatic democrat, pimp daddy and Detroit’s youngest elected leader was charged last Monday with perjury (a felony punishable by up to 15 years in prison) and other counts after sexually explicit text messages contradicted his sworn denials of an affair with a top aide. Of course, Kwame claims that he is a victim of racism; but that is highly unlikely since the Wayne County Prosecutor Kym Worthy and the majority of the City Council is also black.

I want to start off by telling everyone how happy I am to be talking to a new audience. I have been blogging on myspace for a couple years now with a pretty good following, but nothing compares when you can branch off into that new arena, where people may have never heard of you before. Before I get started on this topic, which I am sure everyone has on their minds since John McCain became the Republican nominee, I want to tell you a little about me.

Yeah, well not really breaking news if you live in San Francisco. This happens all the damn time around here. I just heard on the news that “peace activists? plan demonstrations across the nation today to mark the fifth anniversary of the start of the Iraq war. More than 600 events are planned nationwide and I am sure there will be about 600 total protesters there as well. The ironic thing about this whole situation is that these apparent “peace activists?, led by their fearless leader Cindy Sheehan and Code Pink will surely be holding anti-Israel banners proudly showing their support for “peaceful” organizations like Hamas and Hezbollah.

What’s most perplexing about the 2008 presidential campaign is the unadulterated love and support Barack Obama has received from America’s young generation (and from American media, but that’s for an entirely different piece). While this support has brought Obama a long way on the seemingly never-ending path toward possible presidential supremacy, Clinton is hanging tough. While I am not a Democrat by any stretch of the imagination, I fluctuate between supporting Obama and Clinton (and by “supporting” I mean “selecting the candidate who won’t make me cry myself to sleep every night if my preferred candidate, Arizona Sen. John McCain, happens to lose in November).
Luckily, on the Republican front McCain has officially been granted the candidacy. Instead of debating back and forth with vying party rivals, he can face the complexities associated with the general election, focusing the breadth of his energy on his upcoming battle with a Democratic contender – whomever he or she may be; this is a clear advantage that some Democrats may be underestimating.

If you’re familiar with old school hip-hop, you might recognize the title as being somewhat similar to the lyrics from “Criminal Minded? by KRS-One of Boogie Down Productions back in 1987. You might remember his comments a few years ago … “we cheered when 9/11 happened” and also blamed conservatives for the World Trade Center attacks. I thought it would be the most appropriate title for today’s post. So please, read on.
I have been asked by a few readers of this blog (specifically Suburban Moderate) to explain what it means to be liberal minded. Of course, I am always up for a challenge; and this was a great research exercise for me as well. But before I go on, I have a disclaimer. From past experience and various conversations within the walls of previous employer, I know that every word I write in this blog is picked apart with a fine tooth comb. When I refer to a liberal, I am referring to ultra-left-wing-whack-jobs like Code Pink and their fanatical supporters; and George Soros types who want to change the social landscape of America. Last week, Hillary hinted about a possible ticket with Barack; and of course the media is painting it as “the dream team? for democrats. Yet today, Barack Obama rebuked the idea of being Hillary’s running mate as Vice President and said that voters must choose between one of the two for the top spot on the fall ticket. In his words with a slight attitude, “I don’t know how somebody who is in second place is offering the vice presidency to the person who is first place…and I am not running for vice president, I am running for president of the United States of America.” Here is the video.

The media is in love with him. His cult-like followers are cheering, crying, fainting and passing out, similar to that of Scientology rally that I once attended. You can call it the Barack Obama tent-gathering revival meeting that were once common among Evangelical Christians in the U.S. over a century ago. Here’s a quick video:

Yup, that’s right. I’m ‘bout to brag a little bit. My Best Conservative Blog directory list made it on several Wikipedia pages, most notably on the “Conservatism? and “Conservatism in the United States? pages. I actually found out by accident when I was checking my metrics and noticed a spike in web traffic by about 100%; and they all came from Wikipedia.
But you can’t expect anything less from an awesome conservative writer like myself and those who contribute to this blog. Here is a screen shot, in case they take it down anytime soon! : )
