Code Pink Panty Raid, Backfires!

Code Pink

Code Pink, the anti-war group has made it into the news again.  This last Saturday, several Code Pink assailants dressed in yeah, you guessed it pink dresses and tiaras planned a protest to demand the arrest of Luis Posada Carriles.  Unfortunately, Cindy Sheehan couldnt make the party. They wanted to speak to reporters outside the Versailles restaurant to publicize their campaign against Carriles, a former CIA operative wanted in Venezuela in connection with the 1976 bombing of a Cuban airliner.

Their mission was aborted!

Their intended peace demonstration came to an early halt when they were met by about 200 irate Cuban Americans who consider Carriles a champion of freedom. Some ran at the assailants truck as they arrived on the scene, tearing off its bright pink fringe, while others shouted sexist slurs. Yeah – a little taste of their own medicine.

I fully support the First Amendment which prohibits Congress from making any laws that prohibit the freedom of speech or the right to assemble peacefully; but these women are flat out insane. They protest only for the sake of protesting; and know nothing about what they are protesting in the first place.

They boast on their web site that they are a “grassroots peace and social justice movement working to end the war in Iraq, stop new wars, and redirect their resources into healthcare, education and other life-affirming activities”; yet, this “community of peacemakers” also support the the murder of American soldiers.  Go figure.  Man.Code Pink Sucks.

  1. Hey, great article. I was at the event on Saturday, and I was so glad to see how people would pass by and honk and show their support. I had to go to class shortly, but I did my part...I was there. I spoke out against those bitches. Hope they burn in hell someday for all the crap they talk. My father was a political prisoner back in Cuba. He was tortured, enslaved, and all because he disagreed with the government. But, then again, how can I possibly expect liberals to understand that when they think that this government "oppresses" them? They wouldn't know what oppression is...they live here--in the greatest nation on earth. :-)

  2. Hmmmmm.... I wonder if I could find a copy of that picture with the banner that is has a high enough resolution such that I could blow it up into a range target...

Thanks for the comment. I wish I was there too! I am half Cuban; and I often write about Che!! Ugh, I can't stand that man or the people who wear his clothes!!!

You have an excellent point! It's really easy to bitch and complain about the government when you live in a country that protects the rights of their people. I would like to see them pull that shit in Cuba or Iran! It might actually be fun to watch!

    @ Helvidius

Sorry man. I created this image late last night, only 72 DPI.

  5. Not only is Luis Posada Carriles wanted in Venezuela but he fled the country while awaiting sentencing. (according to the wikipedia article u linked) Btw where did u find the picture of that particular banner? Are there anymore? It seems quite suspect........ surely even a "crazy" group like that would not want to isolate themselves from pacifists by supporting murder.

Oh and whoow hooo.... hurray, a group of women where called prostitutes and had their property (if ur law on the subject is anything like ours) criminally damaged! Of course these things are alright as long as they are people who's views we disagree with....

  6. Fake. The tip off that The sign was The work of The right is The wordiness of The sign itself.

Of course it is. Read the damn quote. I created this image myself; but i didn't alter the wording on the banner.

  8. If u didnt alter the wording on the banner why not tell me where you found the original image with that wording on the banner? even the website if not the link to the actual pic. If u made it the other day surely u'd still remember. Without that I'm gona presume that no organisation in the USA would be so idiotic as to print that wording on a banner and display it in public and allow it to be photographed with what seems like smiles on their faces. I'm not saying you faked it but asking for a source........

  11. "Code Pink, the anti-war group has made it into the news again. This last Saturday, several Code Pink assailants dressed in — yeah, you guessed it — pink dresses and tiaras planned a protest to demand the arrest of Luis Posada Carriles."

Luis Clemente Faustino Posada Carriles (born February 15, 2023) is a Cuban-born Venezuelan anti-Castro terrorist.

Aren't we(we are americans?) americans supposed to fight terrorists?

    February 3rd, 2008 10:09 pm davidwwalters
  12. Posada was acquitted of all the charges against him by a Venezuelan tribunal but he was held in jail regardless.
Posada a veteran of the US Army and ex-CIA has done more to preserve the freedom in this country than any of those code pink peoples and their ancestors.
I hope one day we could go in front of George Soros mansions and demand his prosecution for high treason, in case you don’t know Soros is the financial backer of all those lefty anti-American groups like code pink.

  13. @ David Walters

Wait a minute....in your eyes, wouldn't he be considered a freedom fighter? Or, is that definition only for those terrorists who kill innocent Israelis and Americans?

    @ James Dapper

You got it. The mere sound of George Soros name pumps anger into my veins.

  14. James, i am not aware of any freedoms Posada has fought for, the cia is not usually know for it's freedom fighting, Afghanistan notwithstanding.

In case you forgotten no too long ago communism was the biggest threat our nation was facing, the soviets and a handful of tyrants in one side and the US and NATO in the other, we did what was necessary in order to stop the spread of communism around the glove, we funded wars, supported rightwing dictators and a bunch more of “less than ethical things”.
Both the CIA and the KGB had guys like Posada in their payroll doing the dirty work, what happened back them was fair game, now the same peopled that spitted on our vets want him in the terrorist lists for something that happened 40 years ago in a foreign country, the very same country where he got his day in court and was acquitted of all charges, doesnt make much sense right?

It was what it was back then and to be honest I hope someday we bring back those ballsy men and let them clean up the world a bit.

  16. James......
well, some things sadly we can never forget. Yes, i was (somewhat) involved in activities happening in several latin american and carribean countries during the 80's, and no, i'll never forget......but we jumped into bed with lot's of unsavory characters there and in other parts of the world as well in the name of fighting communism("Charlie Wilson's War" comes to mind, but i read the book.....)
And i have watched history unfold and viewed thru an objective lens, i can honestly say we(americans) have a penchant for a thing known as blow-back. Why this is.......i don't know exactly, but i suspect that short-sightedness is a key ingredient.....

  17. They really should consider changing their name to Code Red, obviously these self indulging, clueless, far left radical, broomstick riding, uncharmed witches are on a continuous monthly cycle. It makes my stomach turn to even hear one of them try to rationalize their ideology. Thank god for the majority of us that see the world for what it really is and understand what it is, that we must do to protect it. I used to find some of their rants comical, but now, they just disgust me. I have no problem with others having opposing views, but the support of murder for our troops, that's just disturbing and it weakens my ability to actually listen to what the other side has to say.
