The Communities of Political Discussion

…or the quite simply the discussion of politics within communities.

One thing my wife always reminds me of before attending a dinner party or an event, is not to discuss politics or religion.  The problem is that I have a tendency of unintentionally offending people because of my conservative beliefs; and I am not afraid to kick knowledge when required to do so; and if it hurts people’s feelings, well…um, sorry.

John Edwards wants us to sacrifice?

So, earlier this morning Democratic presidential candidate John Edwards told a socialist labor group that he would ask us Americans to make a big sacrifice: give up our SUVs.  Yes indeed, he wants me to actually sell my beloved SUV to support the al-gore-global-warming-world-is-ending-doomsday-cause.  Yeah, ummmm…no thanks.  His comments make me wonder if he and his campaign team gets transported around various locations in a Prius, or maybe horse and buggy?
